Clone Care
Thank you for your new clone purchase!
Caring for a cannabis clone properly ensures healthy growth and a strong root system. Here’s a simple and basic guide for beginners:
Basic Cannabis Clone Care Guide
1. Setting Up the Environment
Temperature: Keep clones in a warm area between 70-78°F (21-25°C).
Humidity: Maintain 65-75% humidity using a humidity dome or misting.
Lighting: Use low-intensity lights like CFLs, LEDs, or T5 fluorescent lights (18-24 hours of light per day).
Airflow: Provide gentle air circulation to prevent mold and strengthen stems.
2. Watering & Moisture
Keep the medium moist but not soaked (use distilled or pH-balanced water).
Mist clones lightly 1-2 times a day for the first few days. (turn off light until plant leaves dry up)
Avoid overwatering, as too much water can cause root rot.
3. Transplanting
Once roots are 1-2 inches long, transplant into a larger pot with light, well-draining soil or coco coir.
Be gentle to avoid damaging the delicate roots.
4. Nutrients & Feeding
No nutrients for the first week—clones are sensitive.
After 7-10 days, start with light nutrients at 25% strength (especially root boosters).
Monitor for signs of deficiencies or nutrient burn.
5. Hardening Off
Slowly reduce humidity over a few days before removing the humidity dome.
Expose clones to stronger light gradually to prevent shock.
6. General Maintenance
Keep an eye on pests and mold.
Avoid stressing the clone with sudden temperature or humidity changes.
Be patient—strong roots mean a strong plant!
This simple approach will help your clone grow into a healthy plant.
